Bonita Isle is, as its name implies, an island or more accurately island-like. The community is part of a group formed around an enormous manmade lake which stretches and winds through the entire master planned area called the Lakes of Sherbrooke. The other parts of the community are Egret Isle, White Sands Cove and Grassy Isle. Lakes of Sherbrooke also has a northern section of its community which is comprised of homes not on water. A smaller lake also sits to the east of the central one, and the southern portion of the community is while still on water, made up of smaller homes. Residents enter their "island" from Aquarius Blvd which surrounds the community.

Luxury is a clear theme throughout Bonita Isle, and it carries through into the shopping, entertainment and dining available to residents of these exclusive communities of course. In the nearby Mall at Wellington Green residents can shop at American Apparel, Lush Handmade Cosmetics, Love Culture and Williams Sonoma, and dine at Mara Cucina Italiana and Green Salsa Mexican Grill.

Bonita Isle is located near to many A-rated schools, enhancing the already strong family-friendly atmosphere. Guard gated communities are not only safer but more private -- no solicitors, no lost passers by, etc. Schools include Woodlands Middle, Coral Reef Elementary, Indian Pines Elementary and Newbridge Prep.
